Core Curriculum Word List

Here are six word lists compiled by one of America’s most experienced & accomplished AAC clinicians, Gail Van Tatenhove www.vantatenhove.com . Gail suggests a progressive introduction of vocabulary based firmly upon the actual words that children acquire & use naturally. Individual, core words thus form a solid linguistic foundation. Mastery of real, high frequency vocabulary is vital to language development & tends to encourage verbalisation beyond mere message exchange.
