Morgans Top 5 Therapy Toys

As we finally transition back to face to face therapy we want to share our top 5 toys for therapy post COVID – 19. All five have been rated 5 stars by the internationally renowned “Queen of toys” Leanna Fox.

In 2020 Speech Pathologists have developed their telehealth service provision skills immensely. We are now all experts across new mediums such as Zoom, Go To meeting and Teams. Friday afternoon Zoom drinks have progressed from being a novelty to being necessary to function effectively.

We have included some vocabulary ideas that you can target using LAMP words for life for each toy.

  • Lucky Ducks: The Wacky, Quacky colour matching game

The description says it all here. This game is very simple yet very engaging. You will not be able to stop until you have placed all of the ducks in the pond. It also has some cool yet weird sound effects. Here are some vocabulary ideas for this toy using LAMP words for life:

  • Baa Baa Bubbles Sheep

  • Necklace treasure box

This is personally my favourite toy of 2020. With an outlay of $5 at your local Spotlight your clients (and you) will have endless fun with simple activity. Here are some vocabulary ideas for this toy using LAMP words for life:

  • Musical spinners

Musical spinning toys have definitely taken over from Pop Up Pirate as the hallmark toy for a Speech Pathologist. I carry multiple spinning toys with me wherever I go these days. They don’t have a long shelf life but are very fun while they last. Luckily the are very hard to operate so your client will need your help. • Tutti Fruitti Blender

Rounding off the top 5 toys of 2020 is the Tutti Fruitti blender. Next time that you are in Target picking up some cheap socks make sure to buy one of these.
