We are hiring! Join our NSW team

Liberator is seeking a speech-language pathologist (SLP) to join our growing consultant team in Sydney.
This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about providing a full range of AAC options to non-speaking people & their supporters.
Liberator’s exclusive focus is on high-tech, voice-output communication devices. We offer unique AAC solutions, often involving Minspeak™ language systems like LAMP Words For Life™ (WFL).
Liberator is enjoying unprecedented success due to the contribution it makes to AAC throughout Australia so you would be joining a fast-growing organisation. The team is located across Australia, with head office located in Sydney.
Even with distance, we are a close-knit group offering each other regular support and connection. We believe in continual personal development and in catering work to each person’s strengths and the activities that bring them joy. We value the personal connections we make with each other and the people who we support, this is the cornerstone of our values as a company.
You would be working from home and at Liberators HQ in Ashfield, but also at times offering outreach support to clinics, schools, and families. A big focus of the job is working with other SLPs to help them run successful AAC trials for their clients. There are other elements of the job, including:
- promoting awareness as to what is possible in AAC
- educating stakeholders about AAC fundamentals
- providing insight into language-based alternative approaches
- training other clinicians as to device implementation
- involving families in all aspects of the AAC journey
We are looking for someone with experience in prescribing & supporting AAC devices, ideally for at least 2 years. We are keen to find someone who is:
- dedicated to the cause of ensuring that all individuals have access to the AAC that they need to communicate
- interested in language & its representation
- motivated, a true self-starter
- organised and diligent
- able to forge enduring relationships
For the right candidate Liberator will supply comprehensive, thorough training with terrific support networks. You would be working with leading AAC clinicians & have virtual access to global experts in the field. Exceptional professional development opportunities are on offer, including travel between states.
Location
Sydney-based, with the flexibility of working from home. Much of the role revolves around a virtual platform, though face-to-face onsite visits are also an important factor.
To begin the application process simply send your C.V., plus a covering letter as to why you want to work with Liberator, to Nigel Duckett, Managing Director: [email protected].
