Freedom Wireless Switch
The Freedom Wireless Switch allows access to all Accent devices with in-built RF capabilities (this excludes the Accent 1200). With the latest in wireless technology, cables and access issues are a thing of the past! Please note that this switch ONLY WORKS WITH ACCENTS, not other AAC devices. Also, other wireless switches (eg Ablenet) will not work with the Accent range.
It comes in four colours including; red, blue, green or yellow.
The battery is a common flat battery CR2032, that lasts around 6-12 months under normal use.
You can connect (pair) one or two Freedom Switches to an Accent device. For 2-switch scanning, you can set up two Freedom Switches or a Freedom Switch with a wired switch. With the new Freedom switch you can also connect two wired switches without the need of a Y stereo breakout cable.
The power switch is conveniently located at the side of the switch for improved access so the switch can be turned on/off easily even when mounted.
You can use the Freedom Switch along with other access methods. For example, if you are using a headpointer or a joystick, you could connect a Freedom Switch to provide additional access.
