Meet the Team: Pashenka (NSW)
Each month, we're introducing you to the faces behind Liberator! This time, we're delighted to shine the spotlight on Pashenka whose experience and enthusiasm for AAC makes her a wonderful addition to our consultant team.
How long have you been part of the Liberator community?
“I met some of the Liberator team about 9 years ago and I was super-impressed by their up-to-date knowledge and expertise! The incredible support of the Liberator consultants has been such a valuable resource for myself and the families I have supported, particularly during device trials and the NDIS application process. I’m still pinching myself that I’m now part of the Liberator family.”
What's one thing we need to know about you?
“I have been immersed in the world of AAC for many years, in lots of different settings (early intervention, schools, community), both in Australia and the U.K. I’m extremely passionate about capacity building and learning from those with lived experience. I hope to bring my passion for & experience with AAC, and an open mind to my new role as a Liberator Consultant.”
What's one thing we don't need to know – but would be fun to find out?
“When I’m not wearing my speechie hat, I love spending time in my garden with my chickens and beehive, or jumping in the ocean for an early morning swim!”
