Considerations for Feature Matching | March 23

60-minute Online Training

Unsure which AAC device to trial? This FREE training will help you narrow down the right device for a trial.

Join us for this practical, evidence-based session designed to guide you through the feature matching process – helping you identify and compare AAC systems.

Choosing the right AAC system starts with understanding the communicator’s needs. Through a comprehensive assessment of skills and abilities – and considering the tasks they’ll use the device for – we can identify which features are essential and which are highly desirable. This training will guide you through matching hardware, software, and other considerations for the communicator’s needs, before you submit a device trial request.

In this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Describe key features
  • Apply information collected during the consideration process to prioritise features that match the needs of the individual
  • Explore Liberator’s feature matching checklist
  • Apply the feature matching process to a case study example

This training is ideal for:

  • Speech Pathologists who are unsure of which AAC system to trial
  • New graduate Speech Pathologists
