Introduction to Alternative Access for AAC | Brisbane – October 2026

Interested in alternative access methods for AAC? 

Join us for practical, hands-on training, where you’ll explore different access methods available for AAC users – including switch access, head tracking and eye gaze. 

This introductory workshop provides foundational knowledge across a variety of access methods, along with an opportunity to meet and learn directly from an AAC communicator. 

You will: 

  • Identify appropriate access methods based on individual needs 
  • Understand the basics of switch access, head tracking and eye gaze technology 
  • Set up and troubleshoot common alternative access equipment 
  • Apply evidence-based strategies for introducing alternative access to AAC communicators 
  • Build confidence in supporting AAC communicators with diverse access needs
