PRC-Saltillo is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the Therapy Box® suite of apps: Predictable®, Scene & Heard Pro®, Colourful Semantics®, and Voca Quest®. Created by Rebecca Bright and Swapnil Gadgil in 2011, these award-winning solutions set a global standard for excellence in AAC. Carrying their legacy forward expands access and innovation for communicators everywhere.

“From the beginning, our goal was to bring cutting-edge technology to people with speech and language disabilities, regardless of where they live or what language they speak,” notes Rebecca Bright. “We’re proud of what we’ve built and thrilled to see PRC-Saltillo carry this vision forward.”

Sarah Wilds, CEO of PRC-Saltillo adds: “We’re excited to welcome Predictable, Scene & Heard Pro, Colourful Semantics, and Voca Quest into our app portfolio, joining Avaz and PRC-Saltillo apps (TouchChat®, LAMP Words for Life®, Unity® AAC, and Dialogue® AAC) to offer a full suite of AAC solutions for all ages, abilities, and languages.”

What Stays the Same

Customers who use Therapy Box apps can expect continuity in the products, services, and support they rely upon. Therapy Box apps will continue to be sold under their brand names, with development and support provided by the Therapy Box team based in the UK, Ireland, and India.

The current employees of Therapy Box are now employees of Liberator UK, a PRC-Saltillo subsidiary, led by Managing Director Robin Short. “I’m delighted to bring the Therapy Box team into our UK and global teams as we grow together,” notes Short.

Looking Towards the Future

  • Expanded Global Reach: With Therapy Box’s strong presence in Europe and beyond, PRC-Saltillo language offerings grow along with AAC access in new regions worldwide.
  • Product Integration: The apps will be integrated into PRC-Saltillo products around the world with varying timelines and availability by country, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, region-specific implementation.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

This acquisition reflects our belief that communication should be accessible to everyone.  Making AAC available to individuals of all ages and stages of language development—across locations, languages, and price points—drives our excitement for what’s ahead.

As part of this transition, Bright and Gadgil will step away from day-to-day operations. Their vision and dedication since 2011 have shaped products that empower thousands of communicators worldwide, and we’re honored to continue that work.

Gadgil notes: “Rebecca and I are proud of what we’ve built over the past decade. As we move on, we’re confident PRC-Saltillo will take these apps to new heights, reaching more people and breaking down barriers to communication.”  He continues, “We’re also excited that the current team will move into the community of Liberator UK. Working with Robin and his team in the UK during this transition has solidified our belief that the culture of the PRC-Saltillo companies and Therapy Box are aligned.”

Advancing AAC is a global effort—one that depends on the collective perspectives and experiences of communicators, families, and professionals around the world. With the recent addition of both Therapy Box and Avaz to the PRC-Saltillo community, we’re committed to expanding access and fostering innovation through collaboration across regions and cultures.
