We call this Partnership, and we’re excited to offer our ongoing, monthly Partnership with the new Via Mini device. 

From day one with a new device, our team will: 

  • Partner with an AAC Communicator on their communication journey 
  • Collaborate with the team around the AAC Communicator 
  • Be a guide to navigate the future with the new device 
  • Co-design a map for the road ahead 
  • Be responsive and reliable when support is needed 
  • Give expert advice on the new communication device 
  • Provide regular coaching to assist in moving towards identified communication goals

Via Mini 8.1 

Our latest AAC offering is built on the familiar processing power of Apple’s iOS operating system.

  • Weighing just 816 grams, it’s perfect for on-the-go communication 
  • Features a robust frame, shock-absorbing wrap, and tempered glass screen protector 
  • IP44 rating protects against dust and splashes 
  • Simple charging, strong handle, and built-in kickstand 
  • Available in five colours: green, pink, blue, purple, and black 

Access Options 

The Via Mini supports various access methods, including: 

  • Touch (with optional keyguard) 
  • One or two switch scanning 
  • Built in iOS headtracking

Each Via Mini comes pre-loaded with one of our language-rich communication apps: 

  • LAMP Words For Life® 
  • TouchChat® with WordPower™ 
  • Dialogue ™ AAC  

Via Partnership Pricing 

You can access the Via Mini 8.1 with our ongoing, monthly Via Partnership, from $400 per month.  This fee covers the provision of the AAC communication device, accessories, and support services as outlined below.

Payments are made quarterly in advance, via a recurring invoice.  

 

What to expect in Partnership 

Note that Via Partnership does not include or replace speech pathology services. Liberator partners with the AAC Communicator and their Speech Pathologist to ensure successful adoption.

Implementation Support 

  • Four meetings with a Liberator Consultant within the first two months covering device operation and customisation 
  • Ongoing monthly 1-hour coaching sessions with a dedicated Liberator Consultant 
  • Optional free enrolment in the AAC Coach group sessions 
  • Periodic analysis of available Realize Language data  
  • Up to three 1-hour consultations with a Liberator Ambassador (expert user) during the term of the service 

Other Professional Support 

  • Upon request, a complimentary Communication Partner Training ticket is available to the AAC Communicator’s Speech Pathologist or other health professional  
  • Upon request, Liberator will provide a complimentary one-hour consultation for another key communication partner identified by the AAC Communicator, e.g. a teacher, support worker, friend or colleague. 

Device Support 

  • All software updates including any associated support  
  • Full insurance against theft, damage or loss of the device and accessories  
  • All device repairs or troubleshooting   
  • All shipping costs (initial and for any repairs or upgrades) 
  • Replacement device of the same model (new or refurbished) if a device is damaged and returned for repair.  

NDIS Funding Payments 

You can use your Capital Support budget if you have AT allocated. We can provide recommendations for your Speech Pathologist to complete a comprehensive letter of support if you need to apply for Capital Support funding. 

Transfer of Ownership 

Ownership of the device and accessories can be transferred to the AAC Communicator after 36 continuous monthly payments have been received. (These payments may be made under multiple service agreements between the Provider and the Participant.)

Trial a device 

You can submit a Trial request through our website. If you would like more information before booking that in, contact our Via Mini consultant morgan@liberator.net.au 

Your trial kit will include all the above language options, standard keyguards and a carry strap. The Via Mini trial process includes a family consultation at the commencement of the trial.

Your chosen Liberator communication app will be installed, and we will provide you the Apple ID and password for your device. 

Can I buy the device during the partnership? 
The device ownership can be transferred to the person after 36 continuous months of partnership.
